NOMAD
According to the American Heritage Dictionary of the English language...

Definition of the word "NOMAD".
1.) A member of a group of people who have no fixed home and move according
to the seasons from place to place in search of food, water and grazing land.
2.) A person with no fixed residence who roams about, a wanderer.

In todays biker's world, the definition of the word "NOMAD" should read:

1.) A member of a motorcycle club who has no fixed chapter and rides according
to the seasons from place to place in search of family, friends and freedom.
2.) A motorcyclist with no fixed chapter who roams about, a wanderer, a lone wolf.

The "NOMAD" membership is an opportunity for a Correction Officer to join
the nations largest Correction Officer's Law Enforcement motorcycle club in
the United States of America.
This type of membership is strictly for those C/O's who do not have the
availability to join a HCMC chapter within their state, province or country.
This could also apply to those with an extreme distance to the closest HCMC
chapter within a large state.
Membership will be directly linked to the National president's mother chapter
in New Hampshire. A sister chapter, a NOMAD chapter.
NOMAD membership will take longer to obtain, and require more information
on your part.
You can not apply for NOMAD membership if your membership application
had been previously denied or terminated by another HCMC Chapter
president due to unacceptable behavior and/or unable to abide by Chapter
and/or HCMC by-laws. There is absolutely no "gray area" here.
NOMAD membership requirements:
HCMC application.
Copy of drivers license.
Picture of you and your motorcycle for the NOMAD web page.
Cost of NOMAD membership to include full set of patches: $150.00
Home office will perform the required background check.

NOMAD members will be required to travel to HCMC events and/or rallys when the
opportunity arises. This of course is based on your scheduling, financial situation
and life responsibilities.

NOMADS are considered "long distant riders" and will be expected to participate
at HCMC events or rallys once a year with another HCMC Chapter of their choice.
An acceptable range to consider would be approximately 600 miles.

NOMADS will be required to participate (when opportunity is available.) and ride
with other Law Enforcement motorcycle clubs in their charity runs. Pictures of your
participation must be sent into Home office for display on the NOMAD web page.

You can not be a member in another motorcycle club.

Your bottom rocker will read "NOMAD".

Probation status is for one year.

NOMAD residence must be more then 50 miles from the nearest HCMC chapter.

As time goes by and other Correction Officer bikers show a great interest in your
HCMC membership, then you are expected to take the opportunity to acquire
enough members and apply for a new HCMC chapter. Your NOMAD status would
then change to Primary membership.
