9/29/07- Emily’s Ride

On September 27th, 2006 a gunman entered
Platte Canyon High School, held seven girls
hostage and ultimately shot and killed Emily
Keyes. During the time she was held hostage,
Emily sent her parents text messages... "I love
you guys" and "I love u guys. k?"

Emily's kindness, spirit, fierce joy, and the dignity
and grace that followed this tragic event define
the core of the "I Love U Guys" Foundation

On Saturday September 29, 2007 @ 07:30 Hrs Colorado Hardchargers and Friends headed out to Columbine H.S.
in Littleton, Co to participate in Emily’s Ride. The ride was 37 miles long and ended at Platte Canyon High School
in Bailey, Co. There were 1,625 motorcycles riders that participated in the ride.


Who is Emily?
On September 27th, 2006 a gunman entered Platte Canyon High School held seven girls hostage and ultimately
shot and killed Emily Keyes. During the time she was held hostage, Emily sent her parents text messages....
"I love you guys" and " I love u guys. K?.
The event was a fund raiser for the I LOVE U GUYS FOUNDATION.
Last year the parade raised over $ 70,000 which was transferred to the Colorado Organization
for Victim Assistance ( COVA ) to be privately administered for the benefit of the six girls who survived the
Platte Canyon High School shooting.
